Marty's, George Forman Grill.Taking Your George Foreman Grill With You On Your Next Camping Trip, Can Work As Long As You Have Electric In Your Camp Site Or Cabin. On August 10th, 2004. My Dog, Mini Barks "I'm Going Camping With Marty"Mini and Hello,I'm Marty of GrillMeats.com! I Will Be Heading Out To The KOA Camp Grounds in Lena, IL. We Will Be Using The Grill During The Stay and Will Report Back The Results Of Our Trip On This Page. I Will Also Take Pictures and Post Them. This Trip Is Open to the Public, But You Are Responsible For Your Own Reservations. Information Is Located On The Bottom Of The Page.

I have Reserved the Camping Lodge, so I will have electricity. I don't really tent camp anymore, unless I really have to. I have been to this KOA in the past, and brought my George Foreman with me. I just enjoy getting away from the City and getting loose. I will Be Posting the Menu I Will Use on this trip, and Go through My Thought Process on how I came up with it.

On the bottom of this Page is a form that can be filled out giving Me, Your Camping Ideas or Experiences.

I will be arriving in Lena, IL on a Tuesday and leaving on a Friday.  It's about 2 Hours from Chicago, IL. The Menu I am creating will start with Tuesday Lunch and end with Friday Breakfast.

Tuesday

Lunch / Homemade Hot Dogs, Relish, Cole Slaw, and Potato Chips. (Easy to prepare while unpacking and setting up the Lodge to accommodate myself and the dog.)

Dinner / Delmonico Steaks, Marinated in Herb and Garlic Marinade, Baked Potato, Broccoli, and Garlic Bread. (I will start marinating the steaks before I leave on Tuesday. The longer the steak marinades, the faster it will cook.)

Now That  I'm Here, I can cook like if I were at home.

Wednesday

Breakfast / Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, and Toast. Along with Milk and OJ.

Lunch / Brats, Boiled in Beer and Onions, along with Potato Salad and Sauer Kraut.

Dinner / Veal Rib Chops, Marinating in Honey Dijon Marinade, Mashed Potatoes, Garlic Bread, Grilled Vidalia Onions, and Cauliflower.

Thursday

Breakfast / Cheese Omelet, Sausage, and Toast. Along with Milk and OJ.

Lunch / Italian Sausage, Pasta, and Garlic Bread

Dinner / Porterhouse Steaks, Oven Brown Potatoes, Garlic Bread, and Corn on the Cob.

Friday

Breakfast / Eggs, over Easy, Pancakes, and Sausage.

Lunch / Will be eaten on the road so I can be home by 2 PM.

I can always change my menu as long as I bring the ingredients with me. When I go out of town camping, I try to bring everything with me. Even if I have to I get Ice twice a day (that's if I tent camp). I always have two coolers, one for food and one for beverages.
